PDS Services is seeking a skilled Fabricator I (Metal) to join a growing Metro Detroit team supporting prototype and development vehicle programs. If you enjoy hands-on fabrication, welding, and working on unique projects, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills while contributing to cutting-edge automotive technology.

What You’ll Do

• Cut, shape, and fabricate metal components using band saws, brakes, shears, and other shop equipment
• Perform TIG welding on instrumentation, exhaust tubing, bosses, and related components
• Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, sanding, and cleaning materials prior to welding
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Safely use plasma cutters and oxy-fuel torches to cut and modify materials
• Maintain shop equipment and assist with preventive maintenance activities
• Support daily shop organization, housekeeping, and safety initiatives
• Collaborate with experienced technicians and engineers on prototype projects

What We’re Looking For

• 1-8 years of fabrication, welding, or metalworking experience
• Basic TIG welding knowledge and abilities
• Experience operating metal fabrication equipment and cutting tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Own tools and rolling toolbox required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to following all safety procedures and workplace guidelines
